These terms explain how the TIQI website, product enquiries, reservations, shop purchases, collections, deliveries and clearance services operate. They do not reduce your legal rights.
About TIQI
TIQI is operated by Stephen Harvey trading as TIQI.
Address: TIQI, 8–9 Bevan Street East, Lowestoft, Suffolk, NR32 2AA
Email: shop@tiqi.uk

The website is a showcase
The website displays a changing selection of items associated with our physical shop. It does not provide online checkout, customer accounts or online payment.
Sending an enquiry does not create a sale or reserve an item. A contract is formed only when we clearly agree the item or service, price and any relevant collection, delivery or other terms with you.
Items may sell, be reserved, be withdrawn or change status before the website is updated. If information on the website is obviously incorrect, including an obvious pricing error, we may correct it and are not obliged to supply on the incorrect basis. We will always explain the position before taking payment or confirming an agreement.
Product descriptions and condition
Much of our stock is second-hand, vintage or one of a kind. Reasonable signs of age, previous use, repair or wear may therefore be expected. We aim to describe items honestly and show material condition issues we know about.
Photographs form part of the description, but screens, lighting and photography can affect colour and scale. Dimensions are approximate unless we say otherwise. Please inspect an item in the shop or ask questions before agreeing to buy if a particular feature, measurement or condition point is important to you.
Any provenance, age, maker or attribution is stated to the best of our knowledge and will be identified as uncertain where appropriate. We do not make claims that we cannot reasonably support.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights. Goods sold by a trader must meet the standards required by law, taking account of their description, price, age and disclosed condition.
Reservations, holds and deposits
We may agree to place an item on a temporary hold or accept a deposit. The amount, duration and payment deadline will be agreed with you. Until we expressly confirm a hold or deposit, the item remains available.
If TIQI cannot complete an agreed sale, any payment for that item will be refunded. If you cancel, any amount retained will be limited to a fair reflection of losses directly caused by the cancellation, taking account of whether the item can be resold and any costs avoided. We will not rely on a blanket “non-refundable” term that removes your legal rights.
If an agreed hold expires without payment or contact, we may return the item to sale after making a reasonable attempt to contact you.
Purchases and payment
Prices shown are in pounds sterling. Payment arrangements are agreed directly with TIQI, normally in the shop. Ownership remains with TIQI until the agreed price has been paid in full.
For purchases made in person, a change of mind does not automatically give a right to a refund. This does not affect your rights where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet legal requirements. Different cancellation rights may apply if a binding sale is concluded entirely at a distance or away from our business premises; we will provide the information required for that transaction where applicable.
We may ask for reasonable proof of purchase when dealing with a return or complaint.
Collection and delivery
Collection and any delivery are arranged case by case. Unless we agree otherwise, website prices do not include delivery.
Please check access, measurements, parking and any stairs before collection or delivery. You are responsible for ensuring the item will fit safely into the intended property and that access is clear. Tell us in advance about restrictions that may affect the arrangement.
Risk passes to you when you or a person you nominate takes possession of the item. This does not exclude responsibility for loss or damage caused by TIQI’s failure to use reasonable care and skill.
If you do not collect or cannot accept delivery as agreed, reasonable additional storage or delivery costs may be charged after we explain them to you. We will make reasonable efforts to rearrange the service and minimise avoidable loss.
Electrical and safety-sensitive items
The description or sales record will state any testing or known limitation that applies. An item sold for display, restoration, spares or repair must not be used contrary to that description. Where appropriate, electrical installation or repair should be carried out by a competent person. We do not exclude any legal duty relating to product safety.
Residential & Commercial Clearances
Clearance enquiries are assessed individually. An enquiry or initial estimate is not a binding quote. A contract begins when TIQI and the customer agree the scope, price and relevant arrangements, normally in a written quote.
The customer must have authority to instruct the clearance and must disclose material information about access, parking, occupancy, unsafe conditions and items requiring specialist handling. TIQI does not handle hazardous waste. Hazardous or prohibited items may be excluded, and unexpected conditions may require work to stop while revised arrangements are agreed.
Resaleable contents may be valued and offset against the clearance charge where this is expressly included in the quote. No value or sale proceeds are due for items unless agreed in writing.
Cancellation, postponement, deposits and additional work will be handled fairly by reference to the agreed quote, work already carried out, costs incurred and losses that cannot reasonably be avoided. TIQI may postpone or stop work where access is unavailable, conditions are unsafe, the agreed scope is materially inaccurate or continuing would be unlawful.
Acceptable use of the website
You may use the website for lawful personal or business enquiries. You must not attempt to damage, disrupt, probe or gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems; submit malicious code or misleading information; or reuse substantial website content for a competing catalogue or commercial database without permission.
Website text, branding, layout and original imagery are owned by or licensed to TIQI. You may view and share links to public pages, but no other rights are granted except as allowed by law.
Third-party services and links
The website may link to services such as WhatsApp, maps, eBay or social platforms. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. A link does not make TIQI responsible for the availability or content of a third-party service.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.
TIQI is not responsible for a failure or delay caused by events genuinely outside our reasonable control, but we will communicate with you and take reasonable steps to reduce the effect on an agreed purchase or service.
Changes and applicable law
We may update these website terms from time to time. The terms agreed when a purchase or service is confirmed will continue to govern that contract unless a lawful change is agreed.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you retain any right to bring proceedings in another UK court that the law gives you.
Please contact TIQI using the details above if you have a question or complaint.
