The internal markings identify it as a John B. Stetson Company hat with a 4X Beaver quality designation. The original specification label identifies the style as Duke, colour as Sand Pebble, quality as 4X B and brim as 4 1/4 inches. The fitted size label reads 6 7/8. The interior has a light-coloured lining with a printed Stetson western scene and a dark inner sweatband bearing the John B. Stetson Company name.
The hat comes with its large red Stetson Hats box and the original specification paperwork shown. The box has substantial age and storage wear, including scuffing, creasing, torn areas and damage around the edges and corners.
